Table Mountain short-listed for top New7Wonders spot
TABLE Mountain has been announced as one of the top 28 nominees in the New7Wonders of Nature competition.
It's one of only two African sites - Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is the other - to have made the list, beating the Atacama Desert in Chile, the Azure Window in Malta and the Rock of Aphrodite in Cyprus.
Other finalists include the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Grand Canyon in the USA and the Amazon in South America.
Voting will continue throughout 2010 to 2011 when the Official New 7 Wonders of Nature will be announced.

People who voted in the initial stage must now vote again in the final phase for the top seven sites.
